Cleaning Your Garden Furniture

    It is near the end of the year and to finish everything you have to do for the year, do not forget to clean your garden furniture. Passing through the spring, summer and fall, you may now find your garden furniture not looking good as it was during the summer. This does not mean that you have to change them, but what you need to do is to clean them properly.

    Actually what you need for cleaning garden furniture is very simple. For wooden furniture, the things you need are brush, soapy water. Just brush away any dirt with the soapy water. Then use towel to wipe clean the surface. Wait for some time to allow the wooden furniture to be completely dry. Or, you can choose to use some kind of cleaners which provide the conditioning and protection function to clean your wooden furniture. Finally, you can apply wax to your wooden furniture for better polishing.

    For cleaning plastic garden furniture, it is even easier than the wooden ones. What you need is as simple as the wooden ones, which includes sponges or cloths and soapy water. Just rub the furniture with the soapy water until it is clean. If you still find some stains on it, you can spray some bleach to clean it. Or, you can cut a lemon and use it the rub against the stain.

    If your garden is not decorated by wooden or plastic furniture, then it is very possibly be metal ones. You can brush the metal furniture with warm water. Pay attention to the cracks or joints if any. If so unluckily that you find rust on the metal furniture. You can use soapy water to brush away the rust or you can have some rust cleaners to clean them. After that, you should protect your metal furniture from rusting by applying or spraying anti-rusting coating or water repellent.

    Finally, if you are having woven furniture, then what you need to do is simply washing them with water. As the dirt may accumulate between the woven materials, it makes your furniture look old and dirty even it is actually very new. If you can generate higher pressure of water from the hose, it is always suitable to clean the woven better (especially between woven materials). If not, you may have to use small and soft brush (you can try the toothbrush) to clean them for the in-between woven materials.
